The use of earthworms for organic waste management is growing steadily in Trinidad and Tobago. The most utilized species locally is the African Night Crawler (Eudrilus eugenaie). Additionally there are also the Indian blue (Perionyx excavatus) and the Carlifonian Red Wiggler (Eisenia fetida).
We supply pure culture compost worms for the purpose of vermicomposting, animal protein or any other desired use. 1 pound of adult African Night Crawlers typically has approximately 450-550 worms. A pound of red wigglers would have approximately 800 – 1000 worms.
